    Working at Lanark

Resurfacing of a  path  at Cartland Craig, a woodland area, part of the SNH managed Clyde Valley NNR . This path is a natural grass way and repairs are only to the parts that are slightly precarious, due to the sometime steep slopes leading down to the river, Mouse Water. Also on the spec, is an installation of a rustic viewpoint area, that has a fantastic view over to the magnificent Telford built, Cartland Bridge. Work is due to be completed by March 2008.

    Boardwalk at Forvie

Forvie NNR, a nature reserve on the Aberdeenshire coast, with the small bridge/boardwalk construction project, was recently completed. This is at the Hackley Bay part of the reserve, and comes on the back of construction of a gravel path replacing old boardwalk. The old boardwalk and the imported gravel, were transported to the site by helicopter due to the difficulty in getting materials to Hackley Bay, without adding to the erosion of the 'sand duned area.'

Photos of this boardwalk and another footbridge project in the Angus Glens, can be seen on our Photo Gallery page.
